Hi we are a new Company who have the intention of providing British expats with UK groceries around the globe.
What we would like to know is, are there any specific licences we would need to hold before we can go live, e.g food hygiene, food export? I have contacted all of the relevent countries embassies without any real answer, bearing in mind that we are planning on sending our boxes worldwide.
Many thanks for help received.
This link may help http://madb.europa.eu/madb/sps_crossTables.htm
Market access database that shows paperwork requirements by counrty , barriers to entry, tariff duties and HS codes etc.
If you are sending any products with animal origin products in them (eg custard, rice pudding, curry, yoghurt, baby food, stock cubes, meat etc) in then you may well also require an ‘export health certificate’ (EHC) signed by an official veterinary surgeon appointed by DEFRA. There are over 1500 EHCs available but requirements and ability to export vary from country to country.
MADB is a good resource.
Once you are ready to export we can help to ship your goods worldwide, We already handle many food exports and imports.
