Question

Often business managers ask for items to be hand carried to Global destinations. What would be the best process for obtaining the correct documentation

This question was asked at our recent webinar Moving your exports forward – focus on transportation

Answer

I would suggest that if you are exporting the goods to Countries Outside the EU you refer to Section 6 of Notice 6: merchandise in baggage

This explains the requirements for passengers who carry merchandise in their accompanied baggage or their private vehicle.

Further detailed information regarding exporting goods outside the EU can be found by using the following linkhttps://www.gov.uk/exporting-goods-from-the-eu-to-a-third-country-outside-the-eu

I would also suggest that you contact the Customs Authorities in the importing countries to ascertain if there are any import restrictions on such items.
