We have received an inquiry ralting to the supply of Mobile phones (Android) to Libya and want to check the legality and export licence requirements

The inquiry is from a third party who have indicated the end customer is government or government related

I don’t believe there’s any restriction on the importation of such equipment however, I would recommend you refer to the FCO website to confirm on the list of restricted items from export.

If you are exporting to Libya, you are advised to apply for an export licence on SPIRE https://www.gov.uk/export-control-licence

If you want to know more about end use controls in this market – please contact the ECO Helpline on 020 7 215 4594
