Local partnerships – US markets


Do you think local partnerships are essential when targeting the US market?

Local partnerships certainly help. They can alleviate the labour-intensive and expensive nature of building your brand and relationships directly, from scratch, and introduce you to existing networks and clients. There are many networking groups, such as the British American Business Council (www.babc.org), that might be helpful.

As a company in the climate change/’green’ space, you may also find it financially beneficial to work with a US partner, e.g. access to State or Federal funding. As a foreign entity, these options may be otherwise unavailable to you.
