Is it better to have as many distributors as possible, or limit them to a select few to make managing and communicating easier?

I certainly would not advocate having a distributor partner unless you feel you can support them. To get the best out of a partner overseas you need to be prepared to advise, direct, respond to their needs, call on a regular basis and perhaps visit, especially if its a key market and important to you. So start with a couple of markets varying in size to get a feel for what works best and build up from there. Better to have 3 or 4 that are running really well than 2o that drop you because they never here from you. Hope that helps,
