Answer

Hello Zena,
The following are some headings for costs you may need to consider. It is difficult to be specific without more information regarding your product

Packaging – there may be specific requirements depending on the type of product, this cost can also include labelling, translation etc.
External packaging – this needs to be suitable for the chosen method of transport and will include the cost of external labelling and marking
Product testing and approvals for the country of destination
Export documentation – depending on contract terms in the purchasing contract, can include costs for customs entries, origin certificates, bills of lading etc.
Transport from factory to port / airport
International transport including loading and unloading, terminal charges both ends, freight forwarding services and the services of a customs broker
Transport from destination port/airport to your required inland destination
Import documentation – depending on contract terms in the purchasing contract, can include costs for customs entries, licences etc.
Import duty and VAT – duty is product dependent, UK VAT is 20% unless you are importing antiques
Unpacking costs
Re-packing and labelling into retail packaging
