My Uncle is doing metal scrap import business in India and asking me to export HMS 1&2 scrap from UK to India.
He is looking to buy around 100-500mt/month minimum.
As I am a new bee I am not sure about these procedures:
What License or certificate i need to have?
How can i get continuous suppliers for HMS 1&2 scrap metal?
what will be the average freight cost from UK port to Chennai(India) for a 40ft HC?
Any other government permissions needed?
Please need some help in these and any business guide will be beneficial,
Good Morning Vijay
We are currently involved in shipping scrap metal for various customers to destinations around the world. Therefore we can put you in contact with people who will be able to source the volumes of scrap you are looking to move.
Please contact me on email@example.com and I will pass on their details directly. Furthermore once you have a reliable source of scrap we can arrange shipment for you.
However you should be aware that you need to tread very carefully when arranging shipment of scrap metal with the shipping lines because it is one of their least desirable commodity’s as there is potential damage to containers.
Also you will not be shipping in a 40HC instead you will be using 20’s as the weight dictates that this is the most cost efficient method.
