How do I get a Customs Union Certificate of Compliance for exporting to Russia?

Question

We are looking to export goods to Russia and have been told we will need to get a Customs Union Certificate of Compliance.

How do we apply for this document?

Answer

Hi Walter,

I was at a conference yesterday with Abion Overseas and they have specialist experience in the Russian market. Looking at their website there is some good information on the topic here:
http://www.albionoverseas.com/services/certification-for-imports-into-russia/

Drop David an email and I’m sure he will be able to advise david@albionoverseas.com

Kind regards,

Ian

Answer

We can arrange this. Clothing is quite straight forward. You need a sanitary certificate, then you submit a Declaration of Conformity and then you will receive a Certificate of Conformity. I suggest that you engage us to prepare your first set of shipping documents too. Russian/bilingual text helps with speed. Many customs officials do not speak English even now.
