How can we prepare for not being in the customs union?

Question

What should my company be doing to prepare for a likely end of the current customs union?

Answer

At present details of future customs arrangements are uncertain, as they will depend on the nature of a possible Brexit settlement between the UK and the other 27 EU Member States. The Institute of Export & International Trade runs regular Brexit Workshop sessions for businesses to examine various Brexit scenarios and implications for companies trading with the EU & beyond.
