We are currently exporting to distributors in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and South Korea and are now looking for a distributor to help establish ourselves in the US.
Our product range consists of design led interior and homeware products i.e. tea towels, trays and our core product is the Swedish dishcloth.
Please take a look at our website if you would like to find out more:
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you for your email.
Have you looked at any routes already to find a distributor in the US market? We organise a UK pavilion at the NY now show which is a great way to find distribution in the US, there is also OMIS, which is a tailored report which is researched through the UKTI office in the relevant country. If you would you like to call me on 0121 237 1119 to discuss this further, I am available all this week and I will also be at Autumn Fair Hall 4 C48.
Further to your enquiry, I would assume that the Enterprise Europe Network would be of great help to you. Indeed, this network is aimed at assisting business going overseas. Consisting of more than 600 branches in Europe and beyond – including the US – EEN operates a Business Cooperation Database, which allows your company profile to be uploaded for a 12 month period. The free service allows our colleagues from other EEN branches to advertise your profile in their publications and during events. We can also provide a search of potential business partners using the specified criteria. Should you be interested in learning more or submit your company profile, I would advise you to contact our colleagues from the Enterprise Europe South East UK as they are the ones looking after Oxford.
Their contact details are as follows:
Not sure if we can help or not and it will depend on the amount of goods you are exporting to he US. We assist our UK based customers who want to ship eCommerce type goods from the UK direct to consumers in the US. As long as the goods are below $200 USD in value we can provide a low cost shipping solution direct from the UK using the US Postal service for much less than a typical courier like DHL or UPS would charge.
This would allow you to remain in control of the brand and deal direct with the end consumer. This low risk approach could allow you to explore the US market before committing to a distributor and once you have a bit of volume being shipped over there, any discussions with a distributor would be on the back of an established business base.
If this is of any interest then check out our web page at http://ukpworldwide.com/usps-global-direct-entry/ and if you think we can help give us a call.
