Getting beer into France from the UK without an importer

Question

We are a small brewery who will be trading at a Christmas market in France. We will be selling the beer ourselves, so we have not enlisted the help of an importer. How do we go about paying the excise tax to France in orderto get the beer through French customs so that it can meet us at the market? Is it absolutely necessary that we use an importer?

We will be selling approximately 5 400 litres.

Thank you for your time.
