First time exporting to the USA – duty and VAT?

Hi – Hoping you can assist. I own a small online retail store and I have been approached by a retailer in the US who would like to sell my products.

I have never exported before so uncertain as to what legalities I may need to consider. I’m also not sure about the customs and excise side to exporting.

Will the US Buyer need to pay import duty on the products?? Being a UK retailer I sell my products with British VAT but as this isn’t applicable to the US do I need to price my products without VAT so they can add their own local tax??
