Finding & appointing overseas catalogue distributors
Question
We currently turnover £10m in uk as a distributor of Industrial Automation and control equipment primarily in the manufacturing sector.
We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries and quote requests from overseas customers.
We have a large printed product catalogue (also available online) and would like to partner with agents / suppliers in other countries who could act as a catalogue distributor to develop our export sales.

Some questions I would ask would be how have you done your export pricing? Do you have export rights for all the products in your catalogue?
I subscribe to www.Xsortal.com and in there you can get further tips, but also links to Trade Associations and Importer Associations.
I would advise you to contact your local UKTI, and local EEN.

We may be able to help you with this, we can certainly distribute printed material through out the world very quickly and could even look at local printing in some countries if this were an option. We work with about 60 publishers and handle their international mail subscriptions and bulk magazine distribution.
