Exporting chicken feet from UK to China,

Question

I would like to export chicken feet to China from Ireland and UK. I need to know the requirements and documents for exporting. Can you send me requirements please? Do I need to register an export company? Thank you very much!

Answer

Dear Stephen,

Please find a general overview of the requirements for exporting meat and poultry outside of the EU on our website:
http://www.imta-uk.org/import-export/exporting/exporting-from-the-uk

An export health certificate must be in place as agreed between the UK/Irish and third country government in order to export a product such as chicken feet.

Please contact The International Meat Trade Association at [email protected] for further details on the requirements.

Dear Stephen

Information on the Customs requirements for exporting is given in HMRC Public Notice 275. All notices can be viewed on the GOV.UK website at www.gov.uk by typing ‘Notice 275’ in the search box and selecting the following links from the search results: > Notice 275 “Customs export procedures” a guide to UK export procedures using the National Export System.
