Exporting alcohol beverages to Malaysia

Question

Hi,

I’m looking to understand more about exporting alcoholic beverages to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), specifically:
– options for shipping (I understand air freight is not an option?)
– timelines
– any recommended shippers

Appreciate any help or guidance. Thanks.

Answer

Good morning J

While I am not in the Logistics business, I do however have a client who works (he is one of the senior Directors) at a large UK Logistics Company.

They ship globally and would therefore be able to help you with your needs.

I have introduced a few people to them and they have all recruited the company for their shipping/transport needs.

If you would like an introduction please reply back to me with your email address and I will make the introduction on your behalf.

Just as a way of introducing I own a Foreign Exchange Business. We work closely with companies such as yourself helping them with their FX needs and in so doing saving them a fair amount of money (as an alternative to using your Bank).

Have a look at our web site www.parityfx.com and if you think we could be of assistance please do get in touch so that we can show you just how much we could save you and your company (especially that you are exporting to Malaysia)

I look forward to hearing back from you

Regards

David

Information on the Customs requirements for exporting is given in HMRC Public Notice 275. All notices can be found on our website www.hmrc.gov.uk under Quick Links > Library > Official Statistics – Publications – Notices, Info Sheets & Other Reference Materials > Import, Export & International Trade. The Public Notices are in numerical order.
