Do I need an export licence to ship
Question
Do I need an export licence to ship cars or parts to Barbados?
Answer
You will need a licence to ship cars and car components to Barbados if they are classified as controlled items and are listed on the UK Strategic Control Lists. They would be on these lists if the items have been specially designed or modified for military use or if they can be used for civil and military purposes (dual use).
There are other types of controls including where there are concerns about end use. To find out more about all of these controls visit https://www.gov.uk/do-your-goods-need-an-export-licence

Answer
With respect to motor cars landing in Barbados, the person or business whose name is listed as the importer/ recipient must possess a local import licence.
There are no local licence requirements for the importation of car parts into Barbados.
