Question

Can you only access military information from abroad under the OGEL – Access overseas not transfer it?

(This question was asked at one of our recent webinars on Export Controls. You can listen to this webinar on our recent webinars page at http://opentoexport.com/info/webinars/)

Answer

Yes, the aim of the licence is to allow your employees who are overseas temporarily to access their email/company network while overseas. In order to transfer the technology you would need to use the Technology for military goods OGEL which is valid for a pretty significant number of countries.
