Beverage Labelling West Africa
Question
I’m preparing a new ingredients label for a canned beverage which is sold within the EU. English, French, Italian & Arabic will be included together with nutritional information as required by EU.
As I intend to sell in West Africa (ECOWAS) I would like to know if there are any regulations / stipulations that may apply so I can incorporate them on my label.
Answer
Hi
The labelling requirements for West Africa can vary according to the country and the type of drink you are sending as their standards may very well be different to the EU
For Kenya , Cameroon , Burundi, Ethiopia , Tanzania & Egypt you will also be required to apply for a Certificate of conformity under the relevant PCA programme which verifies that the products meet the relevant standards for export into that country

Answer
Do you know where I can get the information regarding drink labelling (non alcoholic malt drink) requirements for The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as I am only focusing in that area.
