Best way to deliver to US retail customers

We use the Post Office to send parcels 100g to 500g to the US via airmail. The service is very slow, often taking 3 weeks or more. Their international tracked service offers tracking but seems to be no faster. The cheapest courier is Fedex but the cost is prohibitive for all but large orders. Is there a cheaper, reliable way?

Indeed there is! We run our own air freight services to the USA with our own offices in Atlanta and they will most certainly be more cost efficient that the courier and parcel services that catch so many exporters out!
I note your product is Cinnamon sticks and may therefore be subject to FDA (Food and Drug administration) approval, which you may have avoided by sending via post/courier, however our UK and USA based experts would be able to talk you through this process and help you every step of the way. Nevertheless, the savings made on a 500kgs shipment by sending it on our services as opposed to courier or parcel will almost certainly outweigh the FDA approval process.
