Can anyone provide advice on assigning FEACN codes for exporting goods to Russia from the UK via Belarus (goods are authorised in Belarus therefore subject to CU rules).
I had to look it up, but if we are talking about FEACN standing for… Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature (Russia).
Then it would appear to be similar to the EU Nomenclature? If so, then in the UK that gets converted into the ‘Tariff’ see https://www.gov.uk/trade-tariff for imports and exports.
I wonder if what you are referring to is the Russian equivalent. Some of the codes may equate others may not.
May be try the Russian Embassy, London Trade desk to get clarification.
I hope that helps
Information on the Customs requirements for exporting is given in HMRC Public Notice 275. All notices can be found on our website:
www.hmrc.gov.uk under Quick Links > Library > Official Statistics – Publications – Notices, Info Sheets & Other Reference Materials > Import, Export & International Trade.
The Public Notices are in numerical order.
I would also suggest that you contact the Russian Customs Authorities to ascertain if there are any import restrictions on such items.

Apologies for the delayed reply. We’d suggest you check the doing business in Russia and Ukraine website: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/doing-business-in-russia-and-ukraine-sanctions-latest. We’d also suggest calling the DEFRA: 01228 403 600 (it’s the number for the exporters) to check the info with them.
