Where are you now with your exporting plans?
We’re working on a strategy and have identified the gaps we need to fill. The priority is to set up systems for export, do due diligence on international customers, complete agreements with distributors and also think through logistics.
How has the Action Plan helped Sacoma Global Foods?
We took it for granted that we get up and start exporting. Through the action plan we’ve realised we need a separate strategy for exporting. We need a different system for selling, different resources, an international website and marketing tools.
It was able to highlight the gaps for us. One of the best things was the market selection tool. Out of 1000 countries how do you know which one to go to first? The plan was useful for narrowing down through – that part was really useful.
And how have you found the experience of the competition today?
The environment is friendly, the room gives you space to think through, and so far so good.
