How did you find the experience of pitching to the judges during the final?
From 2010 onwards, every year I have participated in an event or a competition, but
my experience of pitching to the judges in Geneva was successful because it was the first time I used my slides to make my points rather than just reading a text.
I elaborated the main points and the emphasised more the benefits of what we do. The questions from the judges were really beneficial and for me they showed the Importance of my innovative products.
How did you find the experience of being at the WTO Public Forum?
Fantastic – I truly appreciated the surroundings being a scientist, researcher & business man. Their participation in the session was also very interesting.
How did you find the using the Export Action Plan tool and what impact did it have on your business?
The tool was easy and clear; it gives you evidence of what you want to export and how.
Looking ahead, what’s your next step now as a business?
Launch my new technology in the international market by finding a partner investor in either the UK or Switzerland.
What three tips would you give to other MSMEs looking to enter international trade?
- Make sure you’re innovating
- Produce quality in a cost competitive way
- Have a social & environmental impact
About Sarl Bit Bait Algérie
The Bit Bait Infinity innovative pesticide products are the first in the world to be invented toxic chemical-free, with 0% industrial chemicals used in the active ingredient. They are 100% natural insecticides and rodenticides in the form of gels, powder, pellets, blocks and capsules.
We produce a non-toxic, 100% natural pesticide that uses a physical mechanism rather than a chemical eradication method. It works because it contains natural elements, which attract insects and rodents, stimulate their appetite, and have an exterminative action.
Specifically, a dose of a baked gypsum component acts at the digestive level. This slow and progressive action is the main reason for the absence of antibody development in the insects and rodents, and does not induce any mistrust among rodents. Gypsum is a mineral substance that does not degrade in time and so its action is permanent.
Because of its natural composition, the product of the invention has no effect on human health, animals, farmland and the environment in general. The manufacture of bait is produced in a safe manufacturing process, since it leaves no residue or waste whether solid, liquid or gas and it does not require water in its production.
The fact that existing pesticides use chemicals that are harmful to human health, food safety and agricultural land, and are damaging to the environment, makes Bit Bait infinity natural ingredients-based pesticides superior.
It is important to note that rodents or insects tend to become resistant to toxic chemicals and anticoagulants used today. When these products target the nervous system and blood circulation, the rodents and insects are able to develop immunity to them and survive. As for Bit Bait Infinity, it attacks the digestive system, making rodents and insects unable to fight back, so it does not generate immunological memory for rodents and insects.
