The perfect mix

UKTI has coordinated much of Statiflo International’s ambitious expansion plans across several continents. When the company needed a new distributor in Italy, UKTI streamlined the process.

Cheshire-based company, Statiflo, designs and manufactures static mixers that use the flow of raw materials, such as water and chemicals, to create an evenly mixed product. Since 2001, the company has increased efforts to develop an international network of distributors and in doing so has worked closely with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

Having helped Statiflo to find a suitable distributor in Milan back in 2003, in April 2011, UKTI delivered an Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS) report to help the company find a replacement. From a shortlist of eight suitable businesses, Statiflo selected Ravizza & C. With ongoing support from UKTI during the negotiation process, in May 2012 the company signed a deal worth €250,000 a year.

“Italy is an important market to us and once again UKTI minimised the time, effort and cost of finding a distributor in an overseas market,” says Philip Page, Business Development Director at Statiflo. “We really value our relationship with UKTI teams in all our major markets. They are a key partner for us in our global expansion plans.”
