Sri Lanka: New Regulatory Measures for Imports of Float Operated Cistern Valves

The Government of Sri Lanka is seeking to introduce regulatory measures on the import of water fittings.  The first step of this process is to introduce regulatory measures on the importations of Float Operated Valves for Cisterns to Sri Lanka.

The British High Commission in Colombo has received a request to collate information about any UK companies that currently export or have potential interest in exporting these fittings to Sri Lanka.

The relevant government authority has indicated that they will directly contact companies to educate them about the expected product specifications and the approval process companies will need to follow to ensure their products can be exported to Sri Lanka once the new regulations come into effect.
