Doing business in Bosnia and Herzegovina

With a population of 3.8 million and a GDP per capita of USD 4,461 in 2012 Bosnia and Herzegovina lies at the heart of South East Europe.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) offers easy access to a market of over 60 million customers in the South East Europe Free Trade Area. As a country in economic transition and with on-going international donor activity, BiH presents significant new trade and investment opportunities for UK companies.

What are the opportunities?

There are many business opportunities through international tenders for consultancy services and goods supply. As an EU pre-accession country, most of these opportunities arise from the BiH – EU Pre-Association Process and related funding. There are also specific private opportunities for UK goods and services, including power, oil & gas, ICT, construction, transport and tourism.
