Doing business in Azerbaijan

Strategically located between Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Azerbaijan offers growing opportunities for UK companies.

Azerbaijan has a population of around 9 million and one of the fasted growing economies in the world due to a rapid rise in oil and gas revenues. The UK is the largest foreign investor in Azerbaijan. The opening up of other sectors of the economy should provide plenty of opportunities to consolidate that position in the future.

What are the opportunities?

As well as oil and gas, there are increasing opportunities in the financial services, infrastructure, consumer goods and construction sectors. The Azerbaijani government is also keen to promote foreign investment in agriculture, ICT and tourism and the education sector.
