Changes to Documentation requirements for the Middle East

Dear Reader

Historically many exports to Middle Eastern destinations have been done so using EEC certificates of origin to clear the goods, this has been common practice as these certficates are considerably cheaper than their Arab counterparts.

Recently some Middle East countries have changed their stance on accepting EU certificates are now insisting on fully attested & legalised Arab certificates and commercial invoices, one of these countries is Bahrain who will now only accept Arab documentation.

We are also aware this could also become mandatory for Qatar shortly, therefore we recommend that you double check with your importer what documents they require to clear customs.

If you require any assistance we can manage the entire process for you including the typing, checking, attestation and legalisation and deliver the completed documents back to you.
