My name is Chris Willers and I run an export services company called Access to Export Ltd based near Cambridge.
The level of import duty payable in the destination country will be determined by the customs tariff code (HS code) for the goods so the first step is to determine the correct tariff code which you can do using the UK on-line trade tariff at https://www.gov.uk/trade-tariff.
Once you have established the tariff code you can use the market access database at http://madb.europa.eu/madb/datasetPreviewFormATpubli.htm?datacat_id=AT&from=publi where you can enter a specific country and then the tariff code and you will be able to see what duty and taxes will be payable in the destination country.
If you would like me to help further please feel free to contact directly either by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 01223 890767.
I would suggest that you contact the Customs Authorities in the country of destination regarding Duty Free thresholds.
Information on the Customs requirements for exporting is given in HMRC Public Notice 275. All notices can be found on our website www.hmrc.gov.uk under Quick Links > Library > Official Statistics – Publications – Notices, Info Sheets & Other Reference Materials > Import, Export & International Trade. The Public Notices are in numerical order.
