Trade shows outside and inside the UK

Question posted by Catarina Lima, on behalf of Maria Bianca Ltd in SW11

I would like to know if there is some kind on loan or help from the government when small and start up companies start to participate in trade shows.

Howard Marsh, on behalf of Descartes in SO40.

I suggest you look at the various Trade associations as they would have insight into those areas such as the www.ukft.org who one of the trade associations who represent the UK Fashion and Textile industries.

Hope that helps

Howard

Nicola Bridgett, on behalf of UKTI London in SE1.

Hello
UKTI do have grants and support for businesses wishing to exhibit at overseas shows. We have a list of shows which we are supporting in such a way. Would you like to call me to discuss, or you could send me your email address and I will simply forward you the list for your industry sector? Along with some funding support we have stand space available under the British pavilion which is often discounted along with entry into a UK exhibitors guide, brokerage events, UKTI Commercial Officers also attend and we often have networking events organised at the show. Paul Tomes, on behalf of The Expo People in S60.

Hi Catarina

Nicola's response is pretty comprehensive - we normally help our clients to navigate any funding opportunities that exists whether that be through UKTI, trade associations that may exist.

Would be great to talk to you about your project - we are always happy to help out startups with some free advice as we know how difficult it is to get things rolling!

Feel free to drop me an email - p.tomes@theexpopeople.co.uk

Thanks

Paul
