Trade Missions

Question posted by jeremy swinfen green, on behalf of amberlight in London

How can I find out about trade missions? I went on one to China recently that I found very useful but I have no idea how to keep an eye out for others. The invitation for the one I went on seemed to arrive out of the blue by email (which I nearly missed)!

Dear Jeremy,

Thank you for your question.

You can look for UKTI supported events and trade missions on the UKTI website. www.ukti.gov.uk

Once on the home page, click on the red "Export from the UK" button. There is an Events box, two thirds down the right hand side of the next page. You can use this search to search for missions or events in the markets that are of interest to you.

We also work with Accredited Trade Organisations on the Tradeshow Access Programme, (TAP). Eligible companies can be awarded a grant towards the cost of selected overseas events. This page has some more information and a list of the TAP events for this financial year. http://www.ukti.gov.uk/pt_pt/export/howwehelp/tradefairsexhibitions.html?null

Hope that this helps.

Kind Regards,

Jennie Rich

Hello Jeremy
You could also speak to a local London based International Trade Adviser at UKTI who will be able to make sure you are made aware of any relevant trade missions.
Best wishes
Nicola
