Dear Shahid,

Thank you for your question.

We had a similar question regarding export restrictions to Dubai a while ago. The answers that were posted might help.

As mentioned in the response from HMRC, here is the website for the Dubai Customs Authority.

Hope that this helps.

Dear Shahid,

You should be able to find the question if you search under the questions tab on the UAE country page. However, here is a summary of the responses mentioned.

I suggested that the company contact the Export Control Organisation. https://www.gov.uk/about-the-export-control-organisation

HMRC gave a link to a relevant link on their website and suggested that the company contacted the Dubai Customs Authority.

Hope that this helps.

HMRC Advisor, on behalf of HM Revenue & Customs in G67.

Information on the Customs requirements for exporting is given in HMRC Public Notice 275. All notices can be found on our website www.hmrc.gov.uk under Quick Links > Library > Official Statistics – Publications – Notices, Info Sheets & Other Reference Materials > Import, Export & International Trade. The Public Notices are in numerical order.

I would also suggest that you contact the Customs Authorities of the country of importation to ascertain if there are any import restrictions on such items.

A more comprehensive guide to importing / exporting can be found on our website by selecting ‘Import and export’ from the home page and then scroll down to ‘Guide to importing and exporting: Breaking down the barriers’.
