I refer to one of the adviser’s responses on this forum called the OSMI service. It is my understanding that it is a chargeable service that helps suppliers of products locate potential buyers wiyhin the EEA. I would like to have a brochure of what is actually offered and the rates.
Its not OSMI but OMIS (Overseas market Introduction Service). This is heavily subsidised service offered by UKTI to UK companies wishing to do business overseas.
You can check more details om www.uktradeinvest.gov.uk.
The Overseas market Introduction Service is a service offered by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to UK companies wishing to trade and do business in foreign markets. UKTI has a range of specialist trade advisors throughout the UK and also in posts overseas who work together to deliver these services to UK companies.
There is now also a new government initiative to support companies through the British Chambers of Commerce, some of these services are similar to OMIS.
To identify your nearest International Trade Advisor in the UK you can refer to www.uktradeinvest.gov.uk. You may also find it sueful to look at www.exportbritain.co.uk and to join your local chamber of commerce.
UKTI will be able to help you to identify an appropriate market and discuss with you your plans for export and the support available to you
