Dear Rajiv,

You will need to tell us the exact value of the shipment and the details of cartons/weight
and tariff classification codes. You will probably need to provide a Certificate of Origin together with commercial invoice, packing list, and shipping documents.
If you know the value and classification codes you can look up the possible import duty implication yourself by going to the European website Market Access Database madb.europa.eu/ choose Tariffs,
enter country, enter code, search and you will open a page detailing import duties and taxes.
Also on this site is a section for Procedures and Formalities that you can select containing very useful information regarding regulations and paperwork.
You are welcome to make contact again through this site or directly by email to me.

HMRC Advisor, on behalf of HM Revenue & Customs in G67.

Information on the Customs requirements for exporting is given in HMRC Public Notice 275. All notices can be found on our website www.hmrc.gov.uk under Quick Links > Library > Official Statistics – Publications – Notices, Info Sheets & Other Reference Materials > Import, Export & International Trade. The Public Notices are in numerical order.

I would also suggest that you contact the Indian Customs Authorities to ascertain if there are any import duties and restrictions on such items.
