Please, I’ll like to know what are the processes involved in exporting used bicycles from UK to Nigeria. What do I need to do?
Ok I will try to help but I may need more info on your plans.
Given the size of the item I would assume you are looking at either a 20 or 40ft container.
You will need to prepare the goods for transport and liaise with a freight forwarder who specializes in shipping by container to this region.
Once you have agreed the terms of the consignment you can arrange for the container to be sent for loading. When loading has been completed its over the freight forwarder to get the goods to the agreed final destination.
Your freight forwarder can advise you on the import procedures involved in the importation of bikes to Nigeria. If you are selling these on to a customer then it may be best to offer the shipping DDU which stands for Delivered Duty Unpaid. This means it is the buyers responsibility to cover these imports fees and duties involved in the transaction.
I apologise if this too simplified, if you require further info please let me know.
Dear Prince Ade Adewoye
If you could please advise us directly of the size of the shipment , number of cases ,
weight and size of each we will calculate freight costs to Nigeria whether full container
load (fcl) or less than container load (lcl).
