Looking into how one goes about finding reliable agents or partners on the ground and was wondering how to get started on this.

There is a wide range of support available from UKTI (UK Trade and Investment - the government organisation that supports exporters and investors). UKTI teams across the world are there to help UK businesses enter and succeed in new export markets. There are also a wide range of services to help prepare companies for export delivered through the UKTI network of International Trade Teams. I would suggest that the best place for you to start would be to have a quick look at the export pages of the UKTI website www.ukti.gov.uk. This site explains what support is offered (what is free and what is chargeable) and will signpost you to your nearest International Trade Team.

Sarah Carroll, on behalf of Grow Global Limited in BN1.

Dear Rosa

Great to hear that you're looking to find agents and partners overseas.

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) offers a service called the Export Communications Review (ECR) which can help you to optimise your website for international trade, making you visible in search engines in other countries. This will help you to generate new leads and sales online, as well as finding new agents and partners.

I am the accredited ECR consultant for UKTI in London and the South East If you'd like to find out more, please take a look at www.growglobal.com under Services or send us a message on ecr@growglobal.com.

Good luck with your international plans!

Sarah

Depending on where you are going to export to, there are various agencies to use as a starting point. We've posted a global list here: http://exporting-made-easy.com/useful-links/
