We — that’s UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Ghana in the British High Commission Accra — may be able to assist in identifying contacts that may be interested in your product. UKTI offers trade support services to UK-based companies looking to export to foreign markets. I personally have a regional remit where I help coordinate trade activities for British businesses looking to export to Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Senegal. I work closely with FCO Commercial Officers in each market to deliver services to companies) and explore synergies within the region.
The services we offer are packaged in what we call an OMIS (Overseas Market Introduction Service). This is a charged service, and activities range from providing tailored market reports, organising events (product launch, seminar, reception, etc), obtaining validated contacts, arranging meetings with key stakeholders, etc.
