Checking on a company in spian

My company has been asked to act as a specialist consultant to a Spanish Company on a particular project. Is there any web based, way of finding out about their financial standing

Hi, your best bet would be to use a company like Creditsafe, these guys can search overseas companies and obtain the information you require.

You should contact a leading credit information agency who will charge
These are Dun and Bradstreet, Experian and Creditsafe

Your local Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) office can ask the local EEN Spanish office for financial and other background checks on companies registered in their area. This is free of charge. You can contact your local EEN in the South East on Tel:0844 725 2244.

Credit checks are helpful but they are based on yearly filed accounts and therefore do not give tell you if the company is still running, how active it has recently been etc if the accounts were filed e.g. 10 months ago.
