British high-end alcohol producer looking for european distributors

Question posted by Peter Kammerling, on behalf of Kammerlings Ltd in N19

We have successfully established our product in 300+ end bars, restaurants and hotels in London.

We are hoping to be stocked in the top bars in the major European cities of Berlin, Hamburg, Milan, Madrid and Barcelona.

We are trying to identify established distributors in those cities & get them to also take on our product.

Can you help us make these connections?

You may find it useful to contact trade associations like the Food and Drink Federation, The Scottish Whisky Association etc., who may have useful contacts. Plus I believe the commercial staff based in the UK Embassies of those cities will also be able to help with contacts.

In terms of customs you will need to consider if these are to be excise duty paid goods from the UK, with supporting proof of that. Or if they will be moved as excise suspended goods to another excise warehouse in those countries. Then the excise duties will be paid when released into use within that country.
