A new portal for internationalisation services

The European Commission has recently launched a new database that allows EU-based SMEs to search for support service providers for their internationalisation projects outside the EU.

In the portal, SMEs can mark their country of origin and the target market plan to do business with.

The search results are structured as follows – services in the SME’s country of origin, services available to the SME in the other Member States, services available from the EU, services available to the SME in its target market.

For instance, the site offers lists of local Chambers of Commerce who can help you start doing business with the country you are targeting and links to other EU-backed sources of help or advice.

The database currently contains 300 service providers that cover approximately 1,200 support services and is expected to progress over time.
